RACGP and College of Physicians & Surgeons Pakistan signed an MUO in 2019. The Objectives of MOU are to develop and strengthen educational, training and assessment structure to support family medicine in Pakistan. The Colleges aim to improve standards in education and training in General Practice for their mutual benefit and that of their members, patients and communities they serve The Colleges further aim to strengthen their mutual support and relationship

Prof John Biggs (Late) has been a great support for family medicine in Pakistan. He has visited Pakistan few times. His contribution was recognised in a special ceremony held by the Pakistan High Commission in Canberra.

2019 College of Physicians & Surgeons, Pakistan Visiting Delegates held a meeting with Council General of Pakistan, CEOs of various health organisations, Leading Pakistani Health Professionals, and key community influencers in Melbourne. It was aimed at strengthening ties in the field of Family Medicine/ General Practice.
Prof Shoaib Shafi and Prof Muhammad Asghar Butt discussed priorities for CPSP, as well as their ongoing commitment for quality education and training of health professionals in Pakistan.
