Dr. Khizar Ashraf

(New South Wales)

Dr Khizar Ashraf is a Public Health Epidemiologist working for NSW Health and has vast experience of leading emergency and development focussed preventative health and nutrition programmes with United Nations agencies World Health Organization and World Food Programme for more than a decade in different countries and regions. He is a fellow of Australasian College of Health Services Management and holds a Masters of International Public Health from University of Sydney and MBBS from Punjab Medical College, Faisalabad Pakistan. He is a board member of various non governmental organisations  working for humanitarian sector and editor of American Research Journal of Food and Nutrition.

Dr. Farida Khawaja

(Tasmania)

Dr. Farida Khawaja, hailing from Sialkot, is a fellow of the Australasian College of Emergency Medicine. She holds a diploma of Public Health from the LSHTM and has completed her part one in studies in Medical Acupuncture. Currently she is a full time consultant at the Launceston General Hospital, is a co-Director of EM Training, deputy censor for Tasmania, and co-country representative to Pakistan for ACEM. Her interests are in equity in access to emergency care, training and clinical practice in resource poor contexts, leadership and climate health. In Pakistan, together with PSEM, she has facilitated launching the Emergency Life Support program, and regularly coordinates courses in various locations.
